Art. 102
Ignition and Electronic Injection Bosch Motronic (Twin Spark) plants simulator
Motronic ML4.1 is an integrated electronic control system for
electronic fuel injection and ignition systems.
The Motronic system offers such significant advantages as:
- Smoother engine operation;
- Reduced fuel consumption;
- Greater reliability;
- Notable reduction of the noxious emissions
contained in exhaust gases.
Both the injection and ignition systems are optimized by
using the combined electronic mapping ignition and
electronic injection featuring digital technology.
Technical features
The technical characteristic of trainer are:
- The rotation of the pullies of the T.D.C. and R.P.M. are real;
- The function of the injection system is real;
- The rotation of the ignition distributor and thus the
striking power of the spark plug is real;
- There is a depressor to create the various depressions
necessary to stimulate the functions of the motor;
- All electronic and mechanical parts are the original
parts used on the vehicle; they can be handled to see
their effects on the control unit operation.
On the front side are located:
- A knob simulating the motor rpm variation;
- Ignition key with a special warning light;
- Electrical plug for 12V;
- Lighting switch known as "VACUUM SWITCH" to simulate
the vacuum existing inside the intake manifold;
- Flow regulator known as "VACUUM REGULATOR" to vary
the engine load;
- Diagnostic outlet.
In the back side of the trainer, inside the door,
there are housed switches which can simulate
several faults occuring in the vehicle.
Simulations
This teaching panel simulates the function of the ignition and
injection BOSCH MOTRONIC ML4.1 plant.
By turning the suitable controls, it is possible to reproduce
faithfully several cases a vehicle may encounter while functioning.
Types of simulations:
- Sensor of T.D.C. in short circuit or interrupted (broken);
- Coil 1 power module signal interrupted;
- Coil 2 power module signal interrupted;
- Control unit supply failure;
- Interruption or variation of the ohmic valve of
water temperature sensor;
- Constant minimum valve failure;
- Fuel pump relay command interrupted;
- Phase transformer relay command interrupted.
